Prickly Pear Cactus Seeds

The Prickly Pear Cacti have flat, fleshy pads that look like large leaves. The pads are used for water storage, photosynthesis and flower production. The Prickly Pear pads, commonly called "Nopales" are a common ingredient in Southwest Salsas. The fruits of the prickly pear cacti are edible and made into jelly, candy, and honey.
